And PRISMA was there – together with DLR

There, together with the DLR Institute for Transport System Technology, our colleagues Martina Gottschalk, Timo Gröning and Stefan Kollarits were able to give an insight into the project "VM50kCity: Automation and digitization of traffic control on main roads in small and medium-sized cities". A key result of the initiative funded by BASt is a guide to traffic management measures. It was developed in cooperation with representative pilot municipalities and will serve as the basis for modern traffic management. The guidelines describe numerous relevant measures, their expected effects and their relationships to one another.

One of the measures is digital event management. TRAFF-X.coord, one of our PRISMA TRAFF-X® solutions, is an ideal tool for related tasks, especially for small and medium-sized municipalities. Martina Gottschalk presented a corresponding demo directly at our expo booth - with extremely positive feedback from the conference visitors: because they were often not aware that such innovative solutions are already in productive use! TRAFF-X.plan, a tool for planning traffic management strategies, was presented just as successfully.

At the get-together in the early evening directly at the exhibition stand, we were finally able to sum up the event together with our partners from DLR and interested visitors. Everyone agreed: as far as traffic management in small and medium-sized cities is concerned, there is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of actual implementation - but at the same time this means: there is enormous potential. With TRAFF-X® we want to help ensure that it can be exploited.
