DACH project lex2vehicle
Traffic regulations brought to the end user
After three successful stakeholder workshops for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the lex2vehicle project is entering a decisive phase. Under the motto "Traffic regulations brought to the end user", lex2vehicle does not only stand for a highly innovative project, but much more for the start of a paradigm shift in road traffic.
On behalf of the federal authorities responsible for traffic in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, prectices are being estabished to ensure that traffic rules can be reliably followed not only by human, but also by automated vehicles. An interdisciplinary consortium led by PRISMA solutions together with Albrecht Consult (Germany), IAV - Ingenieurgesellschaft Auto und Verkehr (Germany) and the Sigmund Freud University (Austria) has been commissioned to do this.
The expertise of these partners covers the required spectrum from digitization in the transport sector through European standardization to engineering and the entire legal sphere. The project is accompanied by relevant stakeholders from public administration, interest groups and industry. With this bridge between technology and law, "lex2vehicle" sets the first step towards digitization of road traffic regulations - initially for the D-A-CH region, but also with the clear goal of setting an example for Europe as a whole.
