flex.depot means more flexibility for Austrian Post

Vienna. Together with our partner myVision, we carried out the flex.depot project for Austrian Post. Together with Post employees, concepts for optimizing letter delivery were developed. By consolidating the network of depots, it is possible to optimize delivery and make it even more flexible. For example, existing mailbox locations are simultaneously used as depots from which the mail carriers take on the letters that they will deliver in the further course of the tour. The combined letter/depot box thus supports two completely separate process chains: the posting of letters by customers and the delivery of items by postal carriers.

According to Post, the positive feedback so far should lead to a roll-out of the concept.
