PRISMA TRAFF-X® solutions at the Stuttgart Spring Festival

Use of TRAFF-X.plan for travel optimization and parking guidance system

It's all about give and take. Also when it comes to traffic-relevant data and information. So far, the communication of data has mostly focused on making it available: strategies suitable for traffic management were planned in TRAFF-X.plan and sent out via the mobile library. If they are adopted by navigation services, they can directly influence the traffic behavior of individuals and have their optimal effect.

The data transfer and thus the direct digital traffic optimization will now be implemented in cooperation with the Integrated Traffic Control Center (IVLZ), Kapsch TrafficCom and Graphmasters at the 84th Stuttgart Spring Festival. For the first time, visitors to the event will have the opportunity to arrive safely, reliably and without traffic jams and to be guided to the best parking space.

Using the NUNAV app from Graphmasters, traffic management strategies from TRAFF-X®, which were planned by the city of Stuttgart, are adopted and distributed to road users. The IVLZ has already planned the strategies necessary to optimize travel in TRAFF-X®. When you arrive, the information from the app is used to optimize your choice of means of transport and route depending on the current traffic situation. Furthermore, the system leads to the nearest parking space, depending on availability and, if necessary, barrier-free.

And there will be further events in Stuttgart, and thus also deployments of TRAFF-X®, at which the practice practiced at the Spring Festival will be rolled out. In mid-July 2024, six different major events, including the Stuttgart Run, several concerts and the Festival of Lights, will take place in Stuttgart within one week. Here too, strategies created in TRAFF-X®, which serve to optimize journeys and avoid traffic jams and also provide a parking guidance system, are used directly in the NUNAV app for traffic control.
