Dynamic Traffic Management for Stuttgart

Stuttgart plays a pioneering role in smart mobility. The action plan "Sustainable mobility in Stuttgart" aims to counteract the traffic congestions, stress, noise, particulate matter and nitrogen oxide that have occurred in the past. The Verband Region Stuttgart has therefore initiated a lighthouse project: the "Regional Mobility Platform - RMP". It enables situation-based traffic control and the implementation of targeted traffic management strategies.

So that public traffic management strategies do not miss their goal

With our tool TRAFF-X.plan, traffic management strategies are clearly planned, coordinated and implemented across all areas of responsibility. It is essential to catalogue certain problem situations as well as the counteracting measures and their effects. This is the only way to activate targeted strategies that work!
In this project, we are also taking care of the digitalization of traffic data and their visualization on maps. Digital and therefore easily interchangeable traffic data are essential for a contemporary cooperative traffic management. We support a good interaction of all stakeholders - a basic prerequisite for a situation-dependent control of the traffic offer as well as a stable traffic flow with even network utilization!
