TRAFF-X® in action at the 2024 Cycling World Championships

Zurich full of cyclists in September

From Saturday, September 21 to Sunday, September 29, the Cyling World Championship 2024 will take place in the Canton of Zurich. This major event will affect several hundred thousand citizens and a large number of visitors in the region around the cities of Zurich, Winterthur, Uster and Gossau. And for the first time, the para-cyclists' road races will also be an integral part of the Cycling World Championships.

During the Cycling World Championships, it is important to ensure optimal traffic flow on the roads around the race tracks - and also to protect surrounding communities from diversionary traffic. Of course, our proven software solution TRAFF-X® is the appropriate tool for this task!

In cooperation with our Swiss partner company Viasuisse, we will ensure that all road closures reach road users, thereby minimizing emissions and traffic jams.

This is done by systematically recording all closures within TRAFF-X® and passing them on in a digital, standardized form. The traffic information experts at Viasuisse publish the reports in real time via various channels to radio stations, portals and navigation services.

Working together in this way, we can ensure that the information reaches the citizens, that all visitors arrive at the right place at the right time and that all other road users also get to their destination safely!

Around the time of the Cycling World Championships, the canton of Zurich and the cities of Winterthur and Zurich have the opportunity to use TRAFF-X® in their everyday work. We are convinced that the added value of cooperative traffic management for digital, efficient and transparent data use will also be convincing in the future.
