The latest ITS-CH network event

Use cloud and AI technologies for traffic safety! Today, traffic management operates within administrative jurisdictional boundaries in many places. Hierarchical boundaries also represent hurdles for cooperation. But open, cloud-based technologies can support common, cooperative and agile traffic management and generate immense benefits. Furthermore, such “borderless” traffic management helps to optimize the traffic flow and minimize its effects. On the other hand, this opens up new opportunities for sustainable mobility, as intelligent traffic management across borders supports the shifting of traffic in a variety of ways and thus also improves the offering for walking and cycling.

This and much more was focus of the event “Transformative power of cloud and AI technologies in shaping the future of mobility”, organized by Eraneos Switzerland, dots. & PRISMA solutions, in Zurich on June 5, 2024.

The ITS-CH network event was dedicated to the current challenges in mobility and the potential of AI and cloud technologies in traffic management. Innovative solutions to improve safety and efficiency in transport were presented and discussed.

The PRISMA conclusion: For the successful traffic management of tomorrow, we must overcome administrative, organizational and technical boundaries. Cloud-based applications and artificial intelligence support cooperation, scaling and control in the traffic management of tomorrow. And Switzerland is stepping forward - because with the CH traffic network, the CH traffic data platform and traffic data coordination, cantons and cities can use concrete applications for the traffic management of tomorrow already today!
